It is our pleasure to announce that Peter Steinam has joined our organization as the Food and Beverage Director for both Kitty Hawk Cafe (DuPage Airport) and Prairie Landing properties.  Peter officially started with us on Tuesday, April 17, 2007.  Peter brings with him more than 30 years experience in culinary service and food and beverage management. Previously, Peter served in the same capacity at Eagle Brook Country Club in Geneva and the Hotel Baker in St. Charles.  Peter also has experience as an executive chef at the former Hamlet in Carol Stream, The Point in Bloomingdale as well as the Hotel Baker. I look forward to using Peter’s knowledge and wealth of experience to build upon the positives while finding new avenues to further advance the quality of our products, operations and financial performance at Prairie Landing Golf Club.  John Schlaman, General Manager 

Also, with great pleasure we announce the promotion of Cindy Upton to Banquet Event Sales Manager.  Cindy is taking the place of our long-time sales manager, Betsy Pringle, who is still with our team but has moved to a part-time status. Thanks to Betsy's great mentoring skills, Cindy proved to be the best candidate to step up and continue our success in providing high quality banquet services.

The historic 1868 McChesney house of West Chicago was relocated to Prairie Landing in 1992. Restored, it lives on as one of the most unique clubhouses you will see anywhere. The Grille Room restaurant is open from 11 a.m. until dark, seven days a week, March through December. With its unique architecture and casual dining, this cozy eatery is a great place to settle up or settle in for a sporting event. 

Comfortable meeting rooms offer state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and fast Wi-Fi Internet access, in addition to stunning views of a premier golf course. Any luncheon event, business meeting or party will seem like an adventure when it begins at The Grille Room with its breathtaking views.

The Grille Room restaurant closes for the season when the golf course closes. 

NOTE:  Prairie Landing is closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day. The golf course closes when the ground is frozen, which is typically some time in early December. Call the Pro Shop for exact details at 630-208-7600.
